Date: December 22, 2005 Providence, RI Project GOAL, Inc. received a $5,000 grant from the Bank of America Charitable Foundation on behalf of the Bank's Hispanic Organization for Leadership and Advancement (HOLA) group.
HOLA's mission is to extend Bank of America's efforts in retaining and developing Hispanic/Latino associates, and provides a forum through which senior leaders can mentor, coach and develop Hispanic/Latino associates who have demonstrated a strong potential to succeed within the Bank. HOLA supports many internal and external programs including organizing Latino Heritage Week activities and coordinating charitable giving. Project GOAL, Inc., is an after-school initiative that partners with both the Central Falls and Providence School Departments. Its mission is to facilitate the development of New England's disadvantaged inner city youth through after-school tutoring, health education, and soccer-related programs. Project GOAL, Inc., is a non-profit 501 © 3 organization comprised of professionals from the business, academic, health, and soccer communities who support the project in achieving its objectives in creating opportunities for its "GOALie" participants.
