Project GOAL (Greater Opportunity for Athletes to Learn), a non-profit organization, is comprised of education, business, and sports professionals whose mission is to facilitate the development of Rhode Island's disadvantaged youth through after-school tutoring and soccer-related programs.


Our goals are to foster opportunity through the employment of a nurturing after school environment, academic tutoring, health/nutrition information, exercise, and safe facilities, while exposing the children and their families to models of positive healthy lifestyles. Read More About Project GOAL

Project GOAL Student From Central Falls Selected To Participate With Under-14 United States National Soccer Team

Project GOAL is pleased to announce that one of its students, Kelvin Castillo De Las Salas, has been selected to participate with the 1994 age group United States National Soccer Team in Guadalajara, Mexico. Kelvin was selected, along with 36 other boys from across the country, to represent the United States in a tournament in Guadalajara, Mexico in January.

Kelvin joined Project GOAL in 2006 and attends Calcutt Middle School in Central Falls, Rhode Island. Kelvin joined the Rhode Island Olympic Development Program (ODP) through Project GOAL and was recently selected to the Region 1 Select Team.

Project GOAL, Inc. (Greater Opportunity for Athletes to Learn), is an after-school initiative that partners with the Central Falls School Department, Providence School Department, and the Soccer Rhode Island Olympic Development Program. Its mission is to facilitate the development of New England's disadvantaged inner city youth through after-school tutoring, health education, and soccer-related programs.

Project GOAL, Inc., is a non-profit 501 © 3 organization comprised of professionals from the business, academic, health, and soccer communities who support the project in achieving its objectives in creating opportunities for its "GOALie" participants.
